In service of its mission to expand the audience for literature in America, National Book Foundation’s Board of Directors annually names one $10,000 winner of its Innovations in Reading prize, as well as up to four projects as honorable mentions. The prize is awarded to an individual or organization that has developed an innovative project that creates and sustains a lifelong love of reading in the community they serve.
